Project Management

A basic requirement of project portfolio management hinges on the accurate definition of your resources and goals. ProjectPartner makes this easy, while still allowing unprecedented customization to reflect your business practices. The same logic that applies to small businesses scales to large organizations with many workgroups.

Because ProjectPartner’s focus is on time accountability, you can set financial parameters at any level – an employee’s salary, an agreed charge rate for certain kinds of work, a client’s budget for a particular project, and much more – and measure your business’ efficiency and profitability against them.

Resources’ workloads can be better managed by defining them as belonging to workgroups, and restricting project managers’ assignment capabilities to those resources in their own workgroups.

Real-Time Feedback

Health Indicators

Intelligent “Health” indicators show how activity is tracking to budget. Specify the thresholds at which ‘warning’ and ‘alert’ statuses are triggered, and ProjectPartner instantly calculates time already recorded, work assignments and your estimate of additional effort required, and compares them with the budget.

For many of the available views, Health is even calculated based on component activities’ aggregated budgets where the parent item does not have its own specific budget.

Additionally, proactive Alert email and in-application notifications can easily be set up to trigger on reaching other thresholds.

Portfolio Management

In addition to the more tangible project groupings such as clients, workgroups, suppliers and assets, ProjectPartner supports the more intangible – but familiar to project managers – portfolio clustering.

For greater convenience, portfolios can even be nested within other portfolios. This provides more flexibility in assigning priorities and budgets.

Your organization’s performance metrics can also be measured against portfolios through ProjectPartner’s powerful analysis tools.

Document & Link Library

ProjectPartner includes a library where you can store relevant spreadsheets, wordprocessing documents, images, PDFs and web links. Each can be associated with one or more clients, projects, assets, etc., and are easily accessible to Project Managers to download, modify and replace.

And because we support your move to cloud computing, the library also includes a Links section, where you can define URLs for online documents and web pages, and link these to your work in the same way as traditional digital documents.

What’s more, your field agents can access and maintain job sheets through the timesheet. This enables remote workers to participate in your centralized document management processes.
